The Progeny Adventure Group LLC started after the Preemie Paradox was thought of. Our founders, Mike and Tara had a daughter named Alana that was born 14 weeks early at 1lb 13oz. Then stayed 89 days in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) where they witnessed a very stressful environment. Their daughter was also autistic and this brought many problems into the parenting a medically fragile child. Mike had put his engineering background to work where he mapped the processes that could indicate what he needed to do and what he needed to know to be the best parent he can. As the years went on his family would vacation differently to avoid problems with his daughters autistic tendencies. He has worked in the tourism industry for his local government since 2010 and knew how to travel without the downsides of large scale tourism results. The Progeny Adventure Group LLC is their way, along with business partner Josh Brown of teaching others how to be a better parent than they are now.
Josh has a Masters of Business Science from Travecca University and also had a child later in life like mike did. They had a hard time looking up fatherly pages on Facebook and YouTube to figure out how to be a dad when you're an older parent when the advice you're given was from younger persons. So Mike and Josh decided to start The Older Dad Show that was supposed to be a podcast but turned into a live show over the internet. Once they seen how they could start these other companies that use the Vmix live streaming software, they could make several shows. The Progeny Adventure Group LLC was born where Mike and Josh figured out it could be the holding company of the other website businesses. They added Tara to a 10% owner level when she began doing their financial and administrative duties. She is a senior level industrial hygienist by trade and safety training professional so she does a lot for the company and constitutes our "female owned" status on documents. The Progeny Adventure Group LLC is the culmination of all the knowledge Mike, Tara and Josh have in parenting advice and opinions.
